It’s not Pep, and poor Eddie Howe didn’t even get an interview. It’s Thomas Tuchel. Tommy T! The ex-Chelsea, German manager is charged with being the legend who’s going to bring football home, having bagged the England top job this week – in doing so succeeding Gareth Southgate and his pretty knit polos.
In the wake of the news, the usual staged press ops followed, with a prim and proper looking Tuchel primed for the task ahead in an all-black fit.
